Before joining KAUST, Andres was an undergraduate research assistant in the Electrical Systems Research Group at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Ecuador. He worked on predictive control in DC-DC Converters, which accounted for most of his research interests then. At the same time, he started collaborating for a year and a half with professor Harrys’s research group. Andres’s research interests include cyber-physical systems, power electronics, and industrial control systems cybersecurity.
