Rui Li is an Electrical Engineering Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Imaging Group (VCCIMAGING) under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Heidrich at the Visual Computing Center (VCC) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
Education and Early Career
Rui Li obtained bachelor of engineering degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Xidian University in China in 2013. After that in 2016, he received his master degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2016.
Rui started his career life as a Research Assistant at State Key Laboratory of Integrated Services Networks (ISN) in Xidian University. Later, during his master studies, he was a Research Assistant at MOE-Microsoft Key Laboratory of Multimedia Computing and Communication in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) from 2013 to 2016. After that, he joined Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a Research Assistant at Robotics Institute.
Research Interest
His research interests are in computer vision, especially visual tracking, image and video segmentation and vision-based robotics.
