Sebastian Celis is currently an MS/Ph.D. student at Professor Khaled Nabil Salama's Sensors Lab, in the Electrical Engineering Department, CEMSE division, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
Sebastian's research interests include the development of electromagnetic devices for mobile communications and for radar systems, Antennas, GPR, Radars, Distribution Systems, Smart Grids, and 5G.
Education and Early Career
Sebastian Celis received a B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia, in 2018, and he is currently finalizing his M.S. degree in electrical engineer from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. He is going to continue his Ph.D. degree at KAUST. His research interests focus on applied electromagnetics: radar systems, RF design, and communication systems. Mr. Celis was recognized as the 2020 winner of the Ansys Hall of fame for his work on humanitarian demining.
