Akram's paper has been selected among the best Student papers in the premium conference, IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2016. The paper is titled “A low cost and pipe conformable microwave-based water-cut sensor” and demonstrates the application of a microwave resonator in the Oil Industry. IMS is the top IEEE conference for RF and microwave community which is highly competitive with a very low acceptance rate. Papers receiving top honors in their own categories will now compete for the “overall best student paper award in the conference” in May 2016.
