Our Team “Blindsee” has made it to the finals of the 2020 APS Student Design Contest

​IEEE APS is organizing the 11thAnnual Student Design Competition this year in Montreal. The topic for this year is “Radar applications in everyday life”. Out of 30 submissions, only 6 teams have been selected as finalists in the competition. KAUST IMPACT Lab team, in collaboration with UESTC,  has qualified for the finals. IMPACT Lab’s students, Haoran Zhang, Heng Wang, and Yiming Yang, and UESTC student Jiahao Zhou, are part of the team. The team's name is Blindseewith a title of A “Light” Beam for the Blind, which investigates the design of a unique wearable radar system that will help the visually impaired people to better perceive the environment so that they can walk more freely and conveniently.
