THz rectenna for Waste Heat Harvesting is a Winner of over a Million Dollars of Competitive Funding

Our project on the design of terahertz (THz) rectennas for waste heat harvesting has won over 1 Million dollars of competitive funding in CRG-3 competition. The proposal received high accolades from the reviewers, and the judging panel awarded the grant with the following description.
“An ambitious project firmly grounded on innovative ideas. The proposed work is challenging and thus of high risk. A successful outcome would represent a major breakthrough in the renewable energy sector and its research outcomes would be beneficial for academia, industry, as well as society.”
This is a three year project and will also benefit from collaboration with Prof. Garret Moddel from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
