The Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) Division at KAUST offers exceptional internship and visiting student research opportunities for undergraduate and master's students to engage in cutting-edge research within applied science and engineering.

Through focused training, mentorship from renowned faculty, and a dynamic, collaborative environment, we aim to inspire a passion for graduate studies and research, empowering interns and visiting students to advance their skills and contribute to impactful research addressing real-world challenges.

Saudi Summer Internship (SSI)

The SSI is a 6-10 week research program that introduces Saudi university students and recent graduates to research in our four programs of study.

Microelectronics Winter Camp (MEWC)

This 6-week program is designed to develop the practical and innovative skills of undergraduate and Master's students in the field of microelectronics.

Photonics Summer Camp (PSC)

The PSC is a 4-week research internship program that offers working on hands-on research projects in various areas of photonics.

Applied Mathematics School (AMS)

The AMS is a 1-week program introducing undergraduate and Master’s students to research topics in applied mathematics and computational science.

The Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP)

The KAUST VSRP is an exciting three-to-six-month research internship opportunity that provides research experience for highly qualified and motivated STEM students to work alongside leading faculty and researchers on impactful projects.

CEMSE Visiting Student Research Program

The CEMSE Visiting Student Research Program offers a flexible option for undergraduate and graduate students to engage in research for up to 6 months. This opportunity allows our visiting students to explore research and life at KAUST and to work alongside world renowned faculty.

The program offers on-site and remote options.

Please note that acceptance into the CEMSE Visiting Student Research Program is dependent on faculty availability and KAUST Admissions approval.
