NumPDE contributed to the 5th African Conference on Computational Mechanics held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 2nd to 4th November 2022.
Prof. Daniele Boffi organized, in collaboration with Prof. Lucia Gastaldi (University of Brescia, Italy), a minisymposium on Numerical methods for partial differential equations. Clarissa Astuto presented her research on finite difference schemes for the simulation of biological network formation phenomena, Najwa Alshehri gave a talk on new unfitted mixed finite element methods for elliptic interface problems, while Fabio Credali presented a parallel solver for the efficient simulation of fluid-structure interaction problems with fictitious domain approach.
