Mehdi Amhoud
About
Mehdi Amhoud is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Communication Theory Lab, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), working with Professor Slim Alouini.
Education and Early Career
Mehdi received the Ph.D. degree in communications & electronic from Télécom ParisTech, Paris, France, in 2017. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences & Engineering at KAUST University, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. His current domain of research includes modeling and performance analysis of MIMO free space optical systems.
Scientific Interest
Mehdi is interested in Optical wireless communications, Spatial multiplexing, MIMO digital signal processing.
Honors and Awards
Mehdi Amhoud was two times awarded for an outstanding Ph.D. thesis from Telecom ParisTech and from Mines-Telecom Foundation in France, in 2018. In 2019, his proposal on machine learning for structured light communication was awarded the prestigious European Marie S.Curie Fellowship.
