Lanah Almahdy was a visiting student from King Saud University at Professor Boon Ooi's Photonics Laboratory at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Lanah's research interests included ​Photonics and optoelectronics, Molecular Beam Epitaxy, Large bandgap group-III nitride and Electromagnetics.
