About Chun Hong Kang Chun Hong Kang Research Scientist, Electrical and Computer Engineering Photonics and optoelectronics Chun Hong Kang received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He holds a B.Eng. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. His current research is centered on advancing optoelectronic devices, sub-components, and integrated systems, with a particular focus on their practical applications in optical fiber sensing and optical wireless communication for oil & gas, agriculture, and underwater domains.
