About Igor Sokolov Igor Sokolov M.S. Student, Applied Mathematics and Computational Science machine learning optimization Igor Sokolov is an M.S. candidate in the KAUST Peter Richtarik Research Group under the supervision of Professor Peter Richtarik. Before joining KAUST, Igor obtained a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Russia. Research Interests Igor's research interests lie in the intersection of optimization and machine learning. He is interested in both the theoretical analysis of optimization algorithms as well as their practically efficient applications.
