Jorge David de Hoz Diego received the Telecommunications Engineering degree from the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 2008. He obtained his M.S. degree and PhD in Mobile Network Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 2013 and 2020 respectively.

He has taken part in public participation research grants in Spain and Mexico while working in the IoT private sector. His activities included projects integrating different technologies such as embedded devices, digital signage, RFID, and middleware supporting different information infrastructures.

He joined Kaust in February 2022 as a member of the SENTRY lab. His current areas of research include Internet of Things networks, architecture and cybersecurity.
