Sahar Ammar is a MS/Ph.D. candidate in the KAUST Communication Theory Lab (CTL) and Networking Research Lab (NETLAB) under the co-supervision of Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini and Prof. Basem Shihada. 

Education and Early Career

Sahar is a graduate from Tunisia Polytechnic School (TPS) where she received her bachelor degree in multidisciplinary engineering in July 2020 majoring in Signals and Systems.
Before joining KAUST for her Master’s degree, she was a visiting student at KAUST in 2020 for five months during which she conducted her graduation internship and worked on Underwater Optical Wireless Communication under the supervision of Pr. Basem Shihada and Pr. Mohamed-Slim Alouini.
During her studies at TPS, Sahar carried out research in the field of deep learning during her internship at Research and Studies Telecommunications Center (CERT), Ariana, Tunisia in 2019 where she worked on Image Compression using Deep Neural Networks under the supervision of Pr. Amel Benazza-Benyahia and Pr. Mounir Kaaniche.

Research Interest 

Sahar’s research interests include optical wireless communication and Next-generation Wireless Networks.
