The Hierarchical Computations on Manycore Architectures (HiCMA) research group is focused on algorithmic and software challenges to exploiting computing environments of the future for scientific and engineering applications, and on efficiently realizing opportunities in science and engineering campaigns at KAUST within reach of today’s hardware. The HiCMA group aims at making KAUST a “destination institution” for computational science and engineering, realizing the twin goals of model-based predictive simulation and data-enabled inference.

The HiCMA’s research priorities may be summarized in leading and enabling capacities:

  1. Lead in the evolution and development of algorithms and programming models for massively parallel systems and
  2. Enable power efficient and scientifically productive multiscale and multiphysics simulations and large‐scale data analytics in research campaigns at KAUST.
