The team comprising of students from IMPACT Lab (Hanguang Liao, Ruiqi Wang, and Yiming Yang) have won the Second Place Prize in the The IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) Student Design Contest (SDC) in Washington DC, USA. IMS is the largest and most prestigious gathering of microwave professionals in the world, held by the microwave society, IEEE MTT-S. Every year, IMS hosts the SDC which is designed to encourage students to solve practical problems in an innovative fashion. This year 45 teams participated in the SDC, 8 teams reached the final stage and the IMPACT Lab KAUST team won the second place prize.
