Our Team “SAVER” has made it to the finals of the 2022 APS Student Design Contest

IEEE APS is organizing the 13th Annual Student Design Competition this year in Denver. The topic for this year is “Miniaturized Antennas in IoT Applications”. Out of 30 submissions, only 6 teams have been selected as finalists in the competition. KAUST IMPACT Lab team, in collaboration with KU Leuven and UESTC, has qualified for the finals. IMPACT Lab’s students, Hanguang Liao and  YIming Yang, KU Leuven Student Yuke Li, and UESTC student Zhengliang Yao, form the team. The team's name is SAVER, which stands for Small Antenna for Vital Emergency Response. The team is presenting a SAVER system which is not only a life-saving wearable but also a great educational tool. Congratulations to them! Wish they get the first prize during the final competition in Denver in July.
