Openings for Postdocs in 2022

Our lab works on Silicon Photonics with special emphasis on integration of on-chip light sources. Leveraging the state of the art nanofabrication technology and interdisciplinary cooperation, we develop photonic integrated circuits that can be applied for data communications, biosensors/bioimaging, energy harvesting, machine vision, and quantum information processing.   

Qualifications We Require

  • Possess, or are pursuing, a PhD in optical sciences,  physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills as evidenced by a record of publication of results in peer-reviewed journals and external presentations at scientific conferences

 
Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience with numerical modelling and simulation (Lumerical, comsol, etc.)
  • Experience with optical and electrical device characterization
  • Experience with cleanroom facilities specialized in integrated photonics process 
  • Highly motivated to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research at conferences

  • 50,000−70,000 USD a year depending on applicant's qualifications and experience
