Artem Prokoshin will join our group for his Ph.D. studies in the fall of 2023.
Artem has been selected to receive the prestigious Dean’s Award for fall 2023. The award is given to less than a handful of students every admission cycle and represents a strategic investment in the most promising students. The recipients of the Dean's Award exemplify the highest of academic standards and represent the university's confidence in their future contributions to the KAUST community, academia, and science. Artem Prokoshin's selection for the award reflects his exceptional academic record and his potential for future success.
Artem received his bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Moscow State University in 2021 and is currently working towards a master’s degree at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. Artem has over a year of experience in integrated photonics, having worked on several projects in the field. He has experience in modeling, designing, and characterization of silicon and indium phosphide photonics devices, including lasers and high-frequency devices.
Artem’s research interests are in applications of integrated photonics for optical communications, LiDARs, and quantum communications.
