I believe that the key to next-generation electronics is to know how we can integrate them with the environment and human life to contribute to the social well-being and the world’s evolution.

Carlos Augusto Zan Malaguti is an M.S./Ph.D. candidate in the KAUST Sensors Lab under the supervision of Professor Khaled Nabil Salama.

Education and Early Career

Carlos received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil, in 2020. During his undergrad, Carlos’ work focused on performance research through electrical characterization of 0.13 um SOI MOSFET devices.

In the Summer/Fall of 2019, Carlos was a Visiting Student at KAUST, under the supervision of Professor Muhammad M. Hussain. He worked on nanofabrication processes in a cleanroom environment, as well as the characterization of thin films.

Areas of Expertise and Research Interests

Carlos is interested in the investigation and fabrication of electronic devices and their applications in biosensors.Microelectronics
