Ceren Durmus is a Biochemist, currently a Bioengineering PhD student at Sensors Lab, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Her areas of focus include Biosensors, electrochemical detection and nanomaterials.

Education and Early Career

Ceren Durmus received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Ege University, Turkey in 2017. She also completed her MSc degree in Ege University in the field of Biochemistry, Turkey in 2020. She is currently a PhD student in the Sensor Lab Group under the direction of Prof. Khaled Nabil Salama at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.

Research Interests

Ceren Durmus is interested in the development of biosensors for the clinical diagnosis and environmental monitoring, her interest also includes point-of-care diagnostic and biosensor platform optimization.
