‌Daniya is a computer science doctoral student under the Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering division (CEMSE). Daniya is working under the supervision of Prof. Markus Hadwiger as part of his research group involving high-performance visualization and large-scale visual computing.

Daniya received her M.Sc. degree in Software Design and Development from NUIG in Ireland and later took the role of a Software Engineer/Research Specialist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Biological and Environmental Sciences and Engineering Department. Daniya also worked as a Data Scientist for Petromin’s HQ in KSA before starting her PhD at KAUST with Prof. Markus Hadwiger’s research group.

‌‌Research Interests and Expertise

Daniya is mostly passionate about scientific visualization, human computer interaction, and computer graphics. She specializes in applying AI in VR and AR applications and carry on with their implementations in other scientific domains such as molecular biology, medicine, and cheminformatics.
