Research at CBRC is funded from various sources:
Competitive Center Funding (CCF)
CBRC has been a recipient of CCF funds since 2014. CCF funding is awarded by KAUST Office of Research Administration (ORA) and supports strategic, ambitious, goal-oriented, multi-and interdisciplinary collaborative research that are aligned with KAUST's mission.
Center Partnership Funds (CPF)
CPF is a program awarded by ORA intended to foster research collaboration with institutions globally. The primary purpose of this program is to build bridges through collaborative work with world-class institutions.
Competitive Research Grants (CRG)
The CRG program is designed to support individual PI's projects which aims to promote novel, curiosity-driven scientific research through world-class collaborative effort both in the Kingdom and worldwide.
CBRC and individual PIs have attracted funding from external sources. These have included SEDCO, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Ajinomoto and others.
