R3T team collaborate with and strongly support the Kingdom's healthcare stakeholders to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
Efforts are focusing on the development of rapid diagnostic platforms, genomic analysis of the virus and bioinformatic tools to help track the spread and evolution of the disease. These efforts are based on research projects and competencies established over the years at KAUST. They are also part of the Smart Health Initiative recently established at KAUST to implement joint research projects with medical centers in the Kingdom.
During these 3 days ( 23- 25th November) CBRC faculty members will showcase their devices in live presentation as follow:
24th November - from 2:00 to 4:30 pm
- Profs. Stefan Arold & Sahika Inal's presentation: "Nanobody-OECTs: fast and ultrasensitive sensors for pathogens"
- Prof. Charlotte Hauser's presentation: "Developing peptide-based antibody tests such as lateral flow immunochromatography assay (LFIA) for rapid detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies"
25th November - from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Prof. Takashi Gojobori's presentation: "Next wave of COVID, active monitoring through CovMT mutation fingerprint"
