Anas Ismail, a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Professor Vladimir Bajic, defended his thesis proposal on August 2, 2018.
In his presentation, "Similarity Algorithms", Anas explained how he developed two similarity algorithms—one to calculate the Gromov hyperbolicity constant and another one to determining how similar two spatial trajectories are.
His thesis proposal committee was comprised of Professor Vladimir Bajic, Associate Professor Taous Meriem Laleg Kirati and Assistant Professor Robert Hoehndorf.
