Dr. Enhong Chen is currently a Professor and vice dean of School of Computer Science of University of Science and Technology of China(USTC), the vice director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Speech and Language Information Processing of USTC, and the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China (2013). Also, he is an IEEE senior member since 2007, and the director of the Lab of Semantic Computing and Data Mining in USTC. He is an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems. He was on program committees of numerous conferences including IJCAI, KDD, ICDM, SDM. He received the Best Application Paper Award on KDD'08, Best Research Paper Award on ICDM'11 and Best of SDM 2015 Award on SDM'15. He has graduated many Ph.D. students and some of them have been recruited by famous research institutes like Institute of Deep Learning of Baidu, or become faculties in universities like USTC and Hefei University of Technology.
Research Interest
His research interests include data mining and machine learning, social network analysis and recommender systems. He has published prolifically in refereed journals and conferences, including IEEE TKDE, TMC, TKDD, TIST, IJCAI, AAAI, KDD, ICDM, NIPS, ICDM, CIKM and Nature Communications. His research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program 863 of China, etc. He won the Best Application Paper Award on KDD2008 and Best Research Paper Award on ICDM2011.
