Karla Peña is a student at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology since August 2021. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Bioengineering with a specialization in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, graduated in 2020 from the University of Monterrey in México.

Research Interest

Special interest in structural and functional predictions for genetic mutations, protein modeling, and its analysis. Aiming as well to contribute to biomedical databases using computational approaches to establish associations between rare variants and their phenotypes.
