Bio/Introduction: 


Xingyu Liao received a Ph.D. degree in computer science and technology from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2019. He works on the intersection between computer science and biology (Bioinformatics). His main research interests include genome assembly, genomic structural variation detection and sequence analysis. He has published more than 10 research papers in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics in journals including Nucleic Acids Research, Bioinformatics, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB), BMC Bioinformatics, Genes, Frontier in Genetics, and conferences including BIMB and GIW. He is a member of IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society & IEEE Young Professionals, ACM and CCF. He currently serves as a journal peer reviewer for seven SCI journals, IEEE/ACM TCBB, BMC Bioinformatics, Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences, Frontiers in Genetics, Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (JBCB), Genes and International Journal of Data Mining and Bioinformatics (IJDMB).
