CBRC's Alumni Dr.Tanvir Alam wins top researcher award in Qatar

CBRC's Alumni Dr. Tanvir Alam received the top researcher award from Qatar Biobank for having the highest number of collaborations done by one researcher with Qatar Biobank in 2021.

CBRC's Alumni Dr. Tanvir Alam received the top researcher award from Qatar Biobank for having the highest number of collaborations done by one researcher with Qatar Biobank in 2021.

Qatar Biobank is a center within Qatar Foundation which was created in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation and the Ministry of Public Health to enable local scientists to conduct medical research on prevalent health issues in Qatar.

Dr. Tanvir is a Assistant Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha. He was a Ph.D student under the supervision of Professor Xin Gao.

Dr. Tanvir and Qatar Biobank collaborated on 7 research projects and publications in 2021 using the participants’ data and samples collected and stored at Qatar Biobank. This is part of the continuous collaborations done between Qatar Biobank and their local partner, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, which aims to develop the scientific research in Qatar. CBRC is beyond proud of his achievement.
