Rawan Olayan defended her Ph.D. dissertation and graduated with a degree in computer science. Under the supervision of her advisor Professor Vladimir Bajic, she completed her thesis on developing novel computational methods to predict drug-target interactions and their functional effects using data integration, graph mining and machine learning approaches.
A group of students and faculty from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), College of Science and Engineering visited the CBRC labs on November 29, 2018. The students, who are majoring in chemistry and biology, were introduced to the Structural Biology and Engineering Lab, Comparative Genomics and Genetics Lab, as well as the Microbial Technology Group Lab.
